Is Something Really Wrong ?

When we come back to review the different regimes and their political doctrines, we would naturally find that there appears to be something wrong somewhere in the various beliefs amd political thoughts. We need to scrutinize the many an ideal and theories to find out the truth.  Just because the fallacies of different ideologies, I think it is not too late to really study the truth and the reality in order to be able to stand on the right path. Certainly it is very important subject to study as many lives were lost and many sacrifices of life and properties were caused and surely there must be a way to set the situation right and in true lightss. An extreme example is the continuing human bombers who seem to be committing suicide purely on the sssumption that they would go straight to the celestial city.  How awful it is ! At the end of the day, I think it is still the common sense only that is needed to clear off these false beliefs. Life is precious and you can live once only so if we cease to exist in this world any more then it is full stop. No after life nor any gods or godesses would ever be able to help you. One plus one is two and there is no wlay we can desregard all the results and findings of scientific researches and experiments etc.  Wake up all ye believers and non-believers, it just needs commonsense to lead a proper life!

98th Birthday celebration

It is rare that people can live up to 98 and I therefore feel greatly priviledged to be invited to the birhtday celebration of an old man still active in society and community gathering especially the clannish associations.  Some friends told me that it is a waste of time to join the associations especially as many of these are clannish in nature and the stress is more on superficial interaction and feastings.  But I would not distance my self personally from such groups as I feel we as human beings are living as a group and so it is for quite a few the only chance of interaction with others.  Unless the association is illegal or doing anything harmful to the society, I would see no reason why we should desist from it. This old citizen has been a founder of the clannish association and was the first chairman.  He certainly has contributed a lot to the clan people and we should not deny him the happiness of the grand celebration of his 98th Birthday!

Be More Objective in Attitude!

I have just come across a peculiar character in literary circle. He has no doubt gone through a difficult time in his student days and when he came out to work as a temporary teacher in an independent Chinese school, he also suffered persecution over and over. He is leftist alright but he certainly is a peculiar one with rather diehard ideas.  For example, he is one who carries out his personal campaign against homosexuals and condemns anyone who may be just holding a liberal view on this subject. Sometimes you would think he looks more like a Confucious old scholar than an advanced thinking man once in the fight against the old establishment. He can write a lot but now growing old he seems to be more concentrated in posting some photoes taken in his many a tour especially of the places of the Long March.  He likes to recite some famous poems of Mao Tze Tung and Guo Mo Lou and some stories of good samaritans but of course he is a vowed atheist. It is now found that he becomes more and more narrow-minded and stubborn as he grows in years . He cannot tolerate any comments at all in his blog and would readily call his commentators names such as reactionaries, selfish guys, pretenders and what not. But in actual fact in real life he has not done anything really great to conform to his ideals. He shirks others and is not in any groups whether legal or underground. Perhaps the only good is what he writes so far is still leftist in nature but his personal life and personal relationship with his friens, relatives are far from satisfactory at all.  I would say he is really confining himself to his own world more like a hermit. But it is best that we leave him alone or he could go after you like bees from a disturbed beehive havoring over you without end! The way he treats his opponents is far from fair and just as he himself always protests against for he makes groundless attacks referring to the comments made by other bloggers but he never quotes a sincere contest of the comments in question thus leaving the readers unaware the gist of the polemics..

Jump on to The Wagon!

It is a jargon of sarcasm but I think it alright to get our former social activists to break out from their self-imposed seclusion and join the current struggle against the old reactionary forces. It is too optimistic to think that the well established evil forces will abjudicate by themselves. No, they would try all hooks and crooks to cling to their posts to continue their rule and corruption. So I say lthose who think that they are righteous and clean and would not want to dirty themselves in the soup are not right at all. They have by their own choice abstained from all activities apart from some nagging and firing canon in the coffee shops etc and by so doing they really serve the evil forces because the present movement needs active participation from all quarters and all peoples. We don't expect help from outside like Libya where the despotic leader has been killed. We want a bloodless uprising of all peace-lowing people to cleanse our political arena and turn a new leaf in our country's history! So call on the loners, hermits and lone rangers to take part. Your effort is needed to push down the termite-stricken old tree!

By The Way did you call old friends ?

Nowadays, we find that human relationship is at the best lukewarm and even cool. You would seldom get a return call if you  have made a call to a long time firend , old classmate and old playmate or schoolmate.  I used to have a telephone book recording the names of old contacts and sad to say each time I take up the record book, I find that I may have to cross out some names as they have passed away.  When I do contact some of them when still alive their response is rather strained and reserved in some cases.  Except for some matter requiring my help, they seldom make any return call. It is therefore true that human relationship is generally cold as the winter season. But it is still something we can do to improve this by setting up some aim and purpose in order to be able to improve relationship. We can still believe that while there is the will there is the way.

How We Judge A Person?

Some Time ago, I met with an old gentleman who has gone through the turbulent time in the rural areas and in his school days he was quite active in literary circles. He is leftist though he has not joined the students movement nor the underground political organisation not because of his stand but because he has never been able to mix with others. We may not know his true colours until you really deal with him especially if you are having arguemnt with him in his works or blogs or books he publislhed. Then he would be in a most notoriously self-centred and despotic beyond common sense and reason.  This I have not known since I know him very little and all the time being admiring him for his past.  Later it has been found out lthat he is really a loner and sinister is his true nature. In his eyes he is the only hero while others are looked down upon as deserters and reactionaries. But in true fact apart from some poems of Mao and Guo and some copies articles from China, I do not find any real substance in him either as a revolutionary nor a real literary fighter at heart because of his extreme egoist and vain-glory.  By labeling others as hypocrites, he has depicted himself as one in deeds and in words. I have to expose him to avoid young people being misled by his outward appearance and those books he wrote are not sincere for he is only interested to push the sales to ask lthers to finance his worthless projects mainly to enjoy his own vainglory and some pocket money too.

The Fall of A Statue

I must say I am always close to the left leaning circle of old friends who have gone through the dark ages of suppression and persecution of the old reactionary regime. I do admit that I am not the fighter type and have never been in the struggle for independence as I never took up arms nor joined the movement but I have sympathy for the young people who sacrificed a lot and some even died in the struggle. It was with same spirit of admiration that I met this old man who was in the movement mainly in education field though he has all the time being quite secluded and loner. Now he spent most of his time going around on tours mainly to China to see how the Long Match had occurred in those days.  He indulged in blogging and it would be a platform for discussion if not for his very peculiar character.  At first he invited others to view his blog but later when some comments were made not to his own preference, he started cursing suing black threats and outright personal attack and smearing and what not.  Even when there is practically no ciriticism and purely friendly admiration and appreciation, he still would not tolerate a little bit of deviation from his own viewpoint which is mostly extreme and egoistic to the extrem so to slay.  With so many enthusiastic bloggers around this country, I  must say I am quite businly engaged in inter-action with tehm with velry satisfaction .As he is of a type that is stubborn beyond salvation, I would therefore leave him alone once and  for all. Let this lone ranger go round to sell his books which are worthless in view of his actual behaviour and relationship with others.  I deeply regret this development but could not do anything more than quietly bless that he keeps to his path and prosper with his sales. Gusefachai!
